Our Next Meeting:
Our next meeting is Town Council Meeting Wednesday 23/10/2024 at 7pm.
If you have any business that you would like to refer to the Town Council or if you would like details on how to join the meeting as an observer, please do email the Clerk on jayne@llanfairfechan.net
There are a number of ways that our community members can get involved with the Town Council:
Council meetings are open to the public and you have the option to speak about anything you would like to raise. At the start of every council meeting an open forum is held to receive representations from members of the public (Maximum of 5 minutes per speaker or at the discretion of the Chair).
Meetings are normally held every 3rd Wednesday at 7pm in the Council Chamber, Town Hall. Dates of forthcoming Town Council meetings are displayed on the Town Council’s notice board in the window of the Town Hall on Village Road and or at the bottom of the left menu on the website. Agendas are displayed three days before a meeting. Copies of Minutes are available to view in the Llanfairfechan Library, Town Hall Window, and on this website here.

Town Councillors are elected by the public and stand for 5 years. There are 13 seats available. It is a voluntary position which gives you the ability to vote on Town Council matters while representing your ward (area). From time to time, sitting councillors are unable to continue their duties and resign from the council. In these situations, a by-election is called for that particular councillor’s seat. Vacant seats are listed on the About the Council Page here.
If you want to get involved in the local community but don’t think that the Town Council is the best place for you, then there are lots of other community groups that you can get involved in.
Have a look at the Local Groups page on our Community Hub to find out about different local groups and their contact details: Llanfairfechan Community Hub.
